Flooding has caused erosion in Central Florida in recent days. These images are from erosion damage at Linebaugh and Waters in Hillsborough County. Repairs were under way Monday morning. Sumter County some issues with trees during the weekend rains.
Heavy rains cause damage in Hillsborough County

Heavy rains are the cause of flooding and erosion in Central Florida. The image attached shows the southbound, outside lane of S.R.589, between Linebaugh and Waters Avenue in Hillsborough County. The road is closed while crews work to repair erosion damage.

In Sumter, County Administrator Bradley Arnold said they did have to deal with a couple of tree issues over the weekend, but he's not aware of any flooding issues at this time and they are continuing to monitor the situation as long as it continues to rain.
