African American History at Local Library

The Villages Library at Pinellas Plaza and Young Performing Artists (YPAs), Inc. presents ‘African American History through words and fashions’ program, Friday, Feb. 24, at noon.
The program will feature words by Wounder Kelly, book author of ‘From Captivity to Freedom’ and 1974 Wildwood High School graduate. The African inspired fashions are provided by Novaab/Pure Solutions and It’s A Steele Fashions both of Wildwood. Fashions modeled by Miss Simone Wilson, a Wildwood Middle High School Student and moderated by Beverly Steele, YPAs, Inc. Founder. Ms Dale Stark, library supervisor, will welcome all attendees. Free refreshments provided. Come, grab a snack for lunch and enjoy the program.
Also Ms. Kelly speaks from her heart on Sunday, Feb. 26, 2 p.m. at Ebenezer African Methodist Episcopal Church- Royal, 390 East Highway 462, Wildwood (Royal).
Ebenezer AME Church will provide an old fashioned soul food dinner, immediately following that Sunday afternoon program.
Golf  tourney
Young Performing Artists (YPAs), Inc. will present their 3rd Annual ‘Golf For Art’ Tournament, Saturday, March 10, at Continental Country Club- Wildwood. Golfer registration: $50 per golfer and Hole Sponsorships: $50 per hole. Teams of four (4) or we can pair you, shot gun start at 8:30 a.m., prizes, $5,000 Hole-In-One contest, breakfast and lunch included. Former NFL player, Darrell Jackson, is confirmed to play.
