Florida Lt. Governor Jennifer Carroll was among government dignitaries and corporate executives who attended a recent ribbon-cutting ceremony marking the grand opening of the American Cement Company plant in Sumterville.
The cement manufacturing facility employs state of the art technological advancements to deliver multiple high-quality cement products for distribution throughout Florida, according to Quality Control Supervisor Chris Wheeler, who added the plant employs more than 70 people, but many more are employed because of it.
