The county rescinded a burn ban imposed last December that prohibited all burning and fireworks. Commissioners lifted the ban during their Feb. 8 meeting on the recommendation of Deputy Fire Chief Brad Burris. The fire chief stated in a recent letter to commissioners that recent rains and a forecast of more to come had “reduced the possibility of conditions that would cause forest fires to quickly grow to a dangerous level.”
