If it looks like fun and you think you’ve missed out – you haven’t!
As a matter of fact plans are under way and the perfect opportunity for you to get your team on board is this Monday night!
That’s when the actual kick-off is for the Sumter County Relay for Life.
It’s fun and games, all-night entertainment and plenty of laughter and if you don’t understand how it works or what it’s all about, then committee members will be glad to explain. It’s something for everyone.
It’s for friends and famlies, co-workers and people you just enjoy spending time with.
While it’s all those things, most importantly, it’s a way to battle cancer.
It’s a way to help others battle cancer.
That’s because the money raised at the annual Relay, an 18-hour experience in camping and laughter, goes to the American Cancer Society.
The organization then uses that money to fund research, providing lodging, give out free wigs and prosthesis and a list of other things patients and survivors may need.
Chances are you have been affected by cancer – through friends, family, co-workers, neighbors or self.
And chances are, if you know someone who has battled cancer and is a survivor, then you know someone who has benefited from the American Cancer Society and the Relay for Life program.
Research continues to enhance treatment, patients can take advantage of provisions that they otherwise could not afford.
You can almost guarantee this is an organization that has touched or benefited someone in your life.
You can almost guarantee that this is an organization that will touch or benefit someone in your life.
Be a part of it. Get your team signed up Monday night at the kick-off meeting.
This year’s theme is “Fairy Tales can come True, a Cure for Cancer can too.”
Just imagine the fun you and your team can have with that.
