Want a sampling of Christmas and would you love to get some holiday ideas?
It’s time for the 26th Annual Holiday Tour of Homes, hosted by the Wildwood Women’s Club and this year’s event includes an impressive selection of local homes.
Each year the ladies of the women’s group invite local residents to host the crowds and show off their holiday décor as a scholarship fundraiser for the club.
On the list is the Oxford home of Debbie and Steve Munz, where two Christmas trees already occupy space. The surroundings also include a décor saloon, with swinging doors and a collection of cowboys hard at cards around a table.
The Phillips family is also opening their home for the tour. Country-style, the home is made of wood grown and milled on site.
The third and final home on the tour belongs to the Fort family.
This year’s event is set from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 1. The tour begins at Arbor Village, where maps and programs will be provided. The cost is $10 per person and funds are used to provide college scholarships for Wildwood residents.
Tickets can be purchased at The Red Door, Gloria’s Beauty Shop and Cottage Garden and Gifts.
There are even tour day specials at the Red Door and Cottage Garden Gifts, so a little shopping might be in order.
The final spot on the tour is back at the Wildwood United Methodist Church, where homemade baked goods will be served, beginning at 2:30 p.m.
