The County Commission will next week begin the process of trying to assist Royal organizers of the annual Royal Homecoming Festival with finding a way to continue with the event and alleviate some of the problems that have plagued it in recent years.
Last year, commissioners were critical of the festival because of the problems it created with traffic issues and clean up after the event was over.
Commissioners said it was too costly to provide necessary clean up at the festival site in Royal Park.
