    At Wildwood Elementary
    Wildwood Elementary will be hosting the Spring Accelerated Reader Kick Off. Pastor Chuck from the Ox-ford Assembly of God will be preparing chicken and rice for dinner, storyteller Wendell Campbell will provide a fanciful story for all to enjoy. We will also have time for students and parents to read together and fabulous prizes and as always books for all.

    Chili cook-off
    Got a great chili recipe? Please come join the fun for the 5th Annual “Spice it up for Hospice” Chili Cook Off! This fun and family oriented event will be held on Saturday, Feb. 7, at the downtown Bushnell Park. This is an annual fund raiser to benefit the Lane Purcell Hospice House in Sumterville.     Oxford Assembly of God invites the community to come enjoy the musical ministry of Ivan Parker, gifted singer and recording artist, on Friday, Jan. 16, at 7 p.m. Parker has received the Singing News fan award “Favorite Southern Gospel Male Soloist” consistently for the last five years, in addition to numerous other fan awards since 1987.

    St. Lawrence Catholic Church Altar Society is having a flea market and bake sale on Saturday, Dec. 13, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the church grounds, 320 E. Dade Ave., in Bushnell.
