    Visit the jaguar
    The Florida International Teaching Zoo (FITZ), an accredited world recognized leader in captive conservation of the endangered black jaguar announces the arrival of Indigo –the black jaguar. Indigo was born at the Montgomery, Ala., Zoo last fall and is the genesis of Fitz, next generation of black jaguar reproduction.
    “Inca, our last black jaguar went to heaven about a year ago, “ said Zoo Director and Veterinarian Mark Wilson. “And we all still miss her deeply.

    Rutland registering for VBS
    Mark the time and date: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on July 26 – that’s when the First Baptist Church of Rutland is holding registration for their Vacation Bible School program.
    The Bible school will be held from 6:30 to 9 p.m., July 30 through Aug. 1. The summer fun will be for children ages three years through sixth grade and will include games and refreshments.

    Mark the time and date: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on July 26 – that’s when the First Baptist Church of Rutland is holding registration for their Vacation Bible School program.

    VacationBible School is at Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church beginning July 9 to July 11 from 6 -8 p.m. nightly. Theme is: “The Jesus Connection.” Classes from pre-school through adults.     Center Hill Bible Study
    The First Baptist Church of Center Hill will start a Bible study of the Old Testament on Wednesday nights starting July 2. Itt will be a group-participation study starting with Genesis and go through Malachi. the study will begin at 6 p.m. and finish about 7 p.m. each Wednesday. The church is at 175 S.     The national Association of Retired & Veteran Railway Employees Unit 66, meets every second Monday at the Golden Corral in The Villages on Hwy 466.
