A day of honor

It was a day for grieving, for remembering and celebration as thousands gathered Monday at the Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, for the annual Memorial Day observance.
In a ceremony steeped in ritual and tradition, the friends and family members of the many veterans who now are at rest in that cemetery came together to honor those that have served and sacrificed for their country. Veterans were honored with the remarks of state leaders, an assortment of patriotic music and Ye Mystic Air Krewe provided a flyover.
