Cow Palace could be replaced by county

It will be interesting to see what the County Commission will decide to do with the aging Cow Palace at the Sumter County Fairgrounds, north of Webster.
The building, going on 60 years old, is definitely showing signs of its age. By today’s standards, even the lighting and bleachers are outdated, let alone the structure itself.
The place certainly pales in comparison to its neighboring West Central Florida Agricultural Education Center which houses, in part, a number of fair activities and events when the annual event happens in March.
