Hernando Sumter Umpires Association, the largest baseball/softball umpires association in West Central Florida is conducting several umpire clinics for men and women over the age of 16 who want to become a baseball or softball umpire. An average umpire can make from $30 to $75 a game, depending on the level of play, working part time. These clinics are specifically designed to train anyone who has basic game knowledge but no prior experience and also helps the most seasoned umpire become even better.
