Soaring high - again

Just over a month ago, Dale Whitaker faced-off with three alligators in a battle over an American bald eagle. Whitaker was trying to save the bird, the gators appeared to be looking for lunch.
“She (the eagle) was waterlogged, because she was swimming,” said Diana Flynt, rehabilitation coordinator at the Audobon Center for Birds of Prey. Her right wing tip had a “luxation” or dislocation, according to Flynt.
Last week, thanks to Whitaker and folks at the rehab centers, she was returned to the lake and released near Idlewild Lodge.
