Summer fun for youth

-A A +A

Looking for some free fun this summer?

How about free dinner and prizes?

Then you'll definitely want to check out the Summer Nights Done Right! programs, coordinated by Sumter C.A.P. and the Sumter County Youth Center. The fun is set for Friday nights in June and July. On June 2, 16 and July 14 and 28 the youth nights are planned for the Wildwood youth center, located at 406 South St. Clair Street. In Bushnell, the dates are June 9, 23,  July 21 and Aug. 4, located at 841 East C.R. 48.

Depending on the night and the location, there'll be water fun and games and sports tournaments - basketball, corn hole, kickball and volleyball. There are even prizes for the tournament winners. The events and dinner are free to Sumter teens.

There'll also be two parent nights - in Wildwood on Friday, June 2 at the center, from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The same time at the Bushnell center, but on Friday, Aug. 4 instead.

There'll be a $25 gift card that goes to the first 15 families to sign up for the workshop. Please RSVP to 352-603-4571 or sumterCAP@gmail.com, for the workshop.
