Two men arrested in connection with burglary

 At approximately 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2017, the Sumter County Sheriff's Office responded to a call in reference to a burglary in progress occurring on the 8800 block of SE 12th Dr., Webster, Fl.  The caller advised they were able to see two individuals with flashlights loading a truck and trailer up with items from the location. Deputies responded, stopped the vehicle, and secured the two suspects. The owner of the property was contacted he confirmed the items in the vehicle were removed from his locked sheds without his permission. The trailer the suspects were using was also found to be stolen, which was reported to this agency in September 2017.


The suspects were identified as Jordan Tyler Hancock, DOB 01/19/1998 of Webster and Robert Houston Holladay, DOB 11/28/1993 of Bushnell. Both Hancock and Holladay were charged with Criminal Mischief, Burglary, and Grand Theft. Holladay was charged with Possession of Methamphetamine and Hancock was charged with Drug Equipment Possession.

Thanks to the quick thinking of the complainant the suspects were both taken into custody without incident and two cases were solved.  See something, Say something works.
